Who was it that wrote saying that although the brakes
on his new Convert are much better then those on his
Ambo, he would like an even stronger front brake? Was
it Darryl? Darryl, according to Guzziology the linked
brakes bikes come from the factory with low-friction
pads on the hand-operated front brake so that the
front brakes don't overwhelm the rear one. Perhaps the
easiest way to get more stop out of your front hand
brake would be to switch to the same pads used on the
front foot-operated brake, which is a higher friction
compound. Guzziology discusses this in detail.
Also, I notice that rebuilding my front master
cylinder has resulted in a stronger brake. Perhaps
yours could use a rebuild, too.
Still riding the Ambo - another week or two of work on
the Vert.
