Subject: RE: 5 spd. trans questions and parts needed
Thanks to everyone who responded for your input. While out riding the '69 Ambo today, I decided to save the 5 spd. for the eventual resurrection of the '75 Eldo (#63093) and stick with the 4 spd. in the '72 Ambo. The goal with the '72 is to have it on the road for under $1000 and so far I'm right on track. Cheers, Charliehttp://members.tripod.com/charlesmullendore/index.htm David Washburn wrote: Charlie Mullendore wrote: Has anyone done a 5spd. into Ambo swap and kept the I would try it since you have the bits already. I find the Eldo gearing to be pretty low, that's why I like it as a commuter bike. I just trickle along as Chris Mitchell can attest. The last pic looks kinda' like Dinosaur Land at Double Tollgates (the intersection of US340 and US522 just north of Front Royal, VA).
Charlie, you are a winner. David
