Gary's absolutely right. Berliner told me he's swap any part to make a
sale. Apparently, he did.
It's really easy to swap fooboards for pegs, but only if you have all
the parts.

Thanks Gary, things are becoming clearer! It does stand to reason
given the
way the bikes were shipped to the U.S. that things would be subject to change and to a "just do what it takes to get the bikes sold/delivered" approach. So...how hard is it to retro fit the footboards to a 'pegged' Ambassador? (I ain't tellin' anybody but I always kind of had a thing for footboards even though I've never had a bike with them.)
