Exactly right Gary. It's still there, just make sure you have the entire link pasted into the search bar. The California model also had the police style dash along with the floorboards, front and rear crash bars and windshield just like the police bikes did. The police never used the huge "buddy seat" as it was only fitted later for the "custom cruiser" effect along with the fiberglass saddlebags to appeal to those who were into touring HD's. Also the chrome fenders were used on the 850GT (Civilian Eldorado to us folks this side of the pond) and the California model. The decals on the tank are from the 850GT too. Even the 4 leading shoe brake was used on them till 74 when they went to the single disc brake on the front. All this can be found in the Moto Guzzi Buyers Guide by Mick Walker.

Maybe some one thunk it were a reel rare modil and snarfed it up alreddy ! I cliked on the link and it were no longer avalilable . I hate it when the money mongers find there way into a fun thing . A REAL police bike will also have the big siren bracket on the left side of the frame . Zink, Rich, ITD wrote:
I see police dash, police bars, rear crash bars, floorboards, and boot guards (all of which could have been added on). Were the chrome fenders only on the 'civilian' Police models? Or did PDs get them also? Seat is 'Californian' type. Tank decals are 850 GT (European). What am I missing here?

Actually it's not even a police bike. More the California model.

Paul, please explain more...
He lists it as being an original LA Police bike with the police instruments; for those of us who are still learning Guzzi lore will you explain what you're seeing that indicates it isn't a police bike?
Thanks so much,
