Hi Brett & Gary,

I was interested to find out what kind of clutch I have in my bike. I did
notice a difference in the clutch action. It is definitely quicker than my
other bikes but I have no other loopframes to compare it to. IMHO once you
get used to it, it is not a problem and is really a non-issue. BTW Gary,
"Popeye" is getting new head pipes, exhaust nuts and front turn signal
brackets this week. One of the aluminum brackets in the front developed a
bad fatigue crack so I ordered a new pair from MG Cycle. Look forward to
seeing you this summer and I know "Popeye" does.

Rex

I used a 2.0 mm splined Sureflex in my old Eldo "Popeye" and was very
pleased with it . I have heard no negative comments from it's current
owner ,Rex Clark so it seems at least all is well . The 4.0 mm is not a
must but if you are replacing a worn input hub along with the driven
plates it is worth considering .

Kind of curious about this deep spline vs. shallow spline & bonded vs.
riveted clutch plate issue. I've heard the Suflex bonded plates may
cause very
abrupt clutch action. What's up with this? Brett in Indy
