Happy New Year to All,
Several months ago I bought a set of floorboards that was supposed to
include everything I'd need to convert my Ambo from footpegs. Well the
seller's definition of "everything" differed from mine and he didn't
include the rear brake crossover shaft. I contacted him after the sale
and he agreed to send it, but that was 2 months ago and I've gotten no
response to my most recent emails.
So I've got over $500 wrapped up in these and can only use the left
assembly. The bike gets some interesting comments and looks with one
floorboard and one footpeg and as much as I like to be different, it's
getting old. Does anyone have, or know where I can get, a crossover
shaft from a floorboard bike? The difference in the civilian and police
shaft is that the diameter of the splined end that the brake linkage arm
mounts on is much smaller than the one the brake pedal mounts on. I'm
really anxious to get this project done, so any help locating this
elusive part would be greatly appreciated.
