Rich,
When you have your meter on the battery (both leads), does the voltage
go up as you rev the motor?

Fellow loopers: The generator light for my Ambo is staying on despite (a) flashing the generator {I disconnected the fan belt and the generator spun as it is supposed to--from what I've read that indicates the generator should be working} and (b) I swapped out the regulator from my Eldo whose light goes out. The battery is pretty hot, about 13.5 V at rest. When I put the VOM on it when the bike is running the display cycles fast even if I just have the ground wire on it. Any thoughts or suggestions re what is going on? Ian--congrats on the white Eldo. Love those Loops. The Ambo's 4-speed is pretty clunky and funky, but is in character with the rest of the bike. Actually I'm amazed that it works at all is it is the first time I've been inside a gearbox. Rich A |
