right Mark (one of the organizers) said there was about 100 people there. Always great to see Loops making a strong showing. Of course a Loop (Fred Sahms'Eldo) won People's Choice. One of these days they will realize that they need to have a People's Choice that divides the bikes into catagories. |
Actually attendance was about 130, last count, and there were awards for
peoples choice loop, tonti, and spine-frame. Several honorable mentions
were given as well, and lots of swag was distributed.
We had a great time as well, even if I got abused for not riding on the
loop ride. I was chasing two VFRs, a Sprint ST, and Kim's Ducati on the
parkway. The old Eldo does pretty well as long as there aren't any
serious bumps in the curves. Coouldn't get the Contis scrubbed over to
the edge, however.
The Wheels through Time visit was fantastic as well, but the best thing
about the Guzzis in the Blue Ridge is always the people.
Ian, if you need another rally fix the Knoxvegas BMW group, ROK, is
having their rally Labor Day weekend in Newport, TN.
