If you're looking for homemade stuff, a solution of molasses and
water dissolves rust, it takes several days. Coca Cola works ok as a
penetrating fluid, however I don't think either of these things would be
good for aluminum. If you want to try some real stuff, go to

I freed up some frozen cylinders in a Laverda SF1 by just spraying
regular penetrating oil in them for a week or two, and occasionally
trying to turn the engine over with a big wrench every time I walked
past the bike. The amazing thing is that I never took the engine apart,
rode it halfway across the country and back.

Pulled a plug on my Eldo and the NASTIEST colored water came pourin out..............something tells me this is gonna be fun lol Speakin of which, anybody got a home concoction(sp?) that works good for freeing the pistons from the cylinders?
