I have a stainless steel bracket that is EXACTLY like the original with smoother edges and no future rust built in. I think I have 2 or 4 Lucass sigs too . What do you call cheap ? You can e mail me Ian Adkins wrote:
| Ron,
I saw an alternator set up that this fellow Dale ????? did on his Eldo. I was so impressed with it that I am trying to do that on my Eldo |
project.
| The small alternator I have from a Geo Metro will fit in place of the generator but I will need to create a support bracket that will mount to the existing bolt holes for the original generator.
As far as I am concerned....the alternator should fit fine with minimal modification. My one question that I am dealing with now is replacing the pulley on the alt to match the generator.
I would be interested in any info as well. Thanks for bringing it up.
See you at the end of June...Ian

Guzziesti, In conversation w/another Guzzophile at the WVA rally alternatives to the generator came up. He said that there is a modern "one wire" car alternator that will fit in the loopframe generator mounting bracket w/ a minimal amount of machining. Can anyone give me more details, or direct me to the post? Eldo parts wanted: The chrome rear turnsignal bracket listed as part # 13436840 in the Eldo Police bike parts addendum. Also, anyone |
