Here in Louisiana the law does not say how many miles, what months or where
you
ride you bike. But the insurance companies that sell antique car insurance
specifically says the bike cannot be ridden except to and from shows. You
cannot ride it to the corner store to pick up a newspaper.
Our riding weather starts in November and goes until May. From June to October
many people ride but it gets awfully hot. I use my Aerostitch Roadcrafter
and I
open the zippers for venting. I never have a problem riding in 100F, but I
would not like to sit at a traffic jam for very long.
The only thing OMV wants is a photograph, current registration, everything
must
be original. You can drive an antique year round as a daily rider. And you
have
be a member of an antique club, like MGNOC.
