Andy,
Just curious. Did you drain the gas out of the fuel lines first? I would
think that if you did not then any extra gas in the lines would add to the
volume.
Interesting though. How do you think the float tangs became out of shape?
Looking forward to seeing you in Va.
Regards...Ian

ok Scott-
left cyl. ran HOT for some reason. hand behind the muffler said "hmmm-
low compression on this side and the exhaust gas feels cool, but the head is
an egg fryer." comp. test was o.k. new head pipe turned blue [spotty, ugly,
blue]. seemed to run o.k., but obviously something was wrong [yeah, i'm a
little slow....]
drained the rt. carb into a babyfood jar and measured it. samething on
the left side....VIOLA!!! about a tablespoon full of gas drained out. a more
careful look at the float level revealed that the left one was maybe 1/8in.
higher than the rt. [viewed upsidedown]. tweaked the stop, and ya wouldn't
believe the power gain! shame about the chrome.....
