"Speaking of rubber, does anyone know what material
the gas cap gasket
is
made from and where I can get enough for two caps?

I've got the V700 cap, which is jointed at one end and
has the bent
metal
arm which pivots over it to keep it closed. Leaks
like crazy.

Don't know if anyone responded to this (I was away from my computer),
but I found that Custom Chrome part # 26011, which is a replacement for
the Harley OEM 61114-48, works pretty well on my Eldo.
