Subject: Timing, again, still...but...
have we ever considered the possibility you might WANT to have the left side slightly more advanced than the right?.... WHAT IF...the Guzzi engineers saw that long wait for the left cylinder to fire again...or saw that very shortened wait for the right to fire after the left went off...and BUILT IN...a little advance on the left to give it a "leg up" after the long wait, with a little retard on the right...when you split the difference timing wise between the two cylinders..... Is this absurd to think of, or is it a possibility? Guzzi's go Bang, Bang, exhaust, exhaust, suck, suck, compression, compression... think about the loss of inertia over time thru all four cycles after the left fires, compared to the loss of inertia on the right after it fires...the right side has an easier time of it, since the left fired only 90 degrees ago... any mechanical inganeers out there?... what say ye all? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
