When I had tires put on my '74 Eldo Police, I asked the same question.
The answer I went with at the time was 80 lbs/ft. for pinch bolts on
axles, 108-130 lbs/ft. for drum front and rear axle nut. Others said
just put the "mojo" on 'em. I just replaced the brakes, and when I put
the wheels back on, I mojo'd them. Took a ride, and the nuts are still
there!

Hi, Could one or more of you gentlemen (or ladies) provide me with the torque specs for the front axle, front axle pinch bolts and lower triple tree pinch bolts? I have a 1972 Eldorado LAPD. Thanks in advance. Rex Clark |
