My brakes are horrible on my Eldo too. I just bought some new shoes from
Mark at MG Classics. They're "softer" than stock, but will still last
(according to Josh). Will be putting them on with the help of Dave W.
soon. $50.00 a pair if you send him your old shoes.

Hi, all. I have long said that the worst part of my Ambo is the front brake. The time has finally come to replace the shoes, and I would like to see some noticeable braking performance if possible. I see the Moto International sells Ferrodo Green linings that they say are really good and only cost $14.95, but they have to be bonded to my old shoes. MG Cycle has new shoes at a good price - $48.25 - but I don't know how much of an improvement they would be over what I currently have (which I assume is stock, but don't know for sure). Anyone have any advice? A few years back someone on the main Guzzi list mentioned that there is (perhaps in one of the tips books?) a way to install hydraulic brake cylinders in the front drum, and that this significantly increases braking power. It is supposed to use readily available parts. Anyone know anything about that?
