I had rsolved through reading the multiple posts that changing the fork
oil would not get rid of the topping out, especially going to a lighter
weight fork oil. I had already changed to the Bel Ray 7 weight fork oil
prior to reading those posts, so yesterday before the storms came in, I
took Patience for a test ride. Went down that same old bumpy road that
was causing her to top out and low and behold, to my amazement, the 7
weight fork oil must have done the trick. She feels awesome now. She
still sits up ready to prance but no banging occurred over the multiple
bumps and potholes in the road - perfect! As Andy said in an e-mail to
me, "your bike is really 'poised', like it has 'ready-for-anything'
attitude." It definitely feels that way now!
