It seems we all sputter, pop and backfire as we get older. So what seems to
be the problem. :) Have you been starting it regularly during the cold
months? Sometimes it just needs to get all the juices and such flowing again
after having sat alone for the winter.

| Yesterday the first nice day that I had a chance to get out I had a hard time starting my 73 eldo. The battery is fine and it started right up, but until it warmed up a bit it sputtered, popped, and backfired quite a lot running rather ragged. After that it ran fine. Any ideas what might be the cause? I never had this problem before. Vince in NY |
