Let's get some opinions on this. Thanks to Greg Hopkins for getting the right measurement for me on the battery tray. According to the measurement on a stock frame, we have 7" from the battery tray rear bolt on the frame to the first tray bolt hole on the tranny. Measuring mine (I have a slightly modified frame that I got from a fellow lister who acquired it already modified) I come up 3/8" short of the full 7". So in other words my tranny sits 3/8' closer to the rear than it should. Now how much of a problem is this going to cause my u-joint? The mounts were never moved, so I assume when the PPO cut and welded the main spine 3"lower he had to bend the rear of the frame 3/8" closer to match up. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
