Joe,
I think I remember Charlie saying that you can get a new Nikasil set
(jugs,pistons,rings) for under $400. Is that right Charlie?
If you plan on using the same pistons check to see if they are A B or C
pistons. I think the cylinder diameter changes slightly for each. Info that
you will need to pass on to the machine shop.
Rings are different for chrome and nikasil. Just make sure you have the
right type.
As for lifters. I don't know if you can use T3 pushrods in an Ambo but I bet
you can get a set of lifters in great shape if you call MG Classics. I bet
he has a bin of them.
