"Frosty" - perhaps you missed this JB post:
"A nice 350 mile ride in below freezing temps. The night is still young,
though. Off for another ride. Tavern is calling me. Probably only 20 miles
or so." I think a couple of miles in NYC doesn't qualify me for the Artic
Expeditionary Force. Still I made a decision to ride 12 months of the year
(after being sidetracked last year with mechanical problems), and I really
like riding in the cold. The Chicago Police Department jacket the ladyfriend
got me for Christmas last year holds up to the elements pretty well.
Wrenching at Washburn's has hidden benefits. Not only did I get to make up a
dyna coil mount out of spare alumnium, his wife makes great sandwiches. You
go for the guzzi, you stay for the corned beef.
As for the oil leaks, after stupidly commenting to someone that MY triumph
didn't leak, I found some oil on the head on the way home from Dave's. I
thinks its an easy fix, but its the first leak I have had in the 2 years I
owned the bike. Never piss off the bike gods.
