I had a Sport for over 7 years and never had a problem with the little
starter, even in MN winters.

The wide-shoe 2LS rear brake is correct for the Sport.

 New Years was good to us, along with getting much work done on my Eldo
project, my wife and I bought a 74 V7 Sport. It's all together and
running, but it has been sitting for 1-2 years, so I am rebuilding the
carbs, changeing all the fluids, and looking at the wiring real
closely.

One VERY strange modification some PO did was to install a twin leading
shoe front brake assy from an Ambo/Eldo onto the rear wheel. This will
come off and be restored to the proper brake arrangement real soon.
Eldo Mike, are you there with parts? I'll be contacting you soon.
The V7 came with a heavy starter motor installed (Ambo/Eldo style) and
the little (proper V7) starter in a box. Question for the common
consensus: Is the little starter really that bad?
