It's not crunchy or anything, but it wouldn't "spin" just with the air
gun. The box turned freely before disassembly.
Does anyone have the bearing # for this guy? Does replacing this
bearing mean re-shimming the whole box?

The bearing sould spin freely when cleaned up. If it is tight or binding it may be on the way out! Make sure it is REALLY clean and try again. I use a liberal spraying of Brake Clean and then blow it out with compressed air. Make sure not to spin the bearing with the air gun. It will gall the bearing surfaces. Hope it is OK. That bearing is not cheap. |
