dunno about evidence, but it just is not true. nor does the V7 motor bear
more than a passing resemblance to the military 3 wheel (convertible to half
track) vehicle guzzi designed for the italian army. i think it was this that
you think of as a tractor.
i believe they only made 3. one is in guzzi's museum at mandello. must say
i'd like one. very wacky!
motor is an air cooled v twin, but that's as far as it goes. there are no
common parts.
there is a picture of "mechanical mule" engine on page 14 of greg fields big
twins book (BTW: very good book greg, if you're reading).
