Agreed. I would take a couple of those 4-speed throw out bearings and put
them in the spare parts bin. Even though the 5 speed pin type is the better
way to go the roller cage type should work fine and last.

Jim,
Switching to the 5 speed bearing does involve machining the rear cover of
the case. It has to be enlarged to 22mm to accept the 5 sped bearing. There
might be some interest there for the folks that don't want to deal with it
and would rather just swap out old for new. That way they wouldn't have to
deal with the removal of the trans cover and finding a machinist to do it.
