On a couple of mine, I had to soak in carb cleaner and then penetrating
oil... Then I put a slotted screwdriver (shutter) down the hole and turned
them back and forth until they loosened up and then I could get them out.
It can scar up the bore a bit but if you're careful, it's not too bad.

I have several old Eldo carbs which have sat for years and I cannot get the enrichening valve out of it's bore. This is the brass valve that is on the end of the choke cable. Can they be pushed out from the bottom after the jet is removed? tia -s. |
