It ain't the brakelight, it's the rear switch. Had the same problem on
my Ambo, even when using a brand new switch.
Put a light bulb in place of the fuse, remove the taillamp, and then
fiddle around with the brake switch. If the lamp that is replacing the
fuse lights while you are messing with the switch you have found your
problem.
