You may THINK it will survive . Experience and practice says it wont.
The retainer makes no difference . You are creating an out of round
mount for the bearing outer race and forcing it out of round. The outer
race is far to thin to resist deformation. The type of retainer has no
affect on the bearing race ability to resist deformation. Set screws
cannot bite into the hardened bearing race sufficiently to secure the
bearing anyhow.

Just words of warning based on 30+ years of precision bearing fitting
experience and many factory seminars and training courses.

It's a caged ball bearing, so I think it will survive.

 Greg ,
A couple of notes for now.
1 , It is not at all a good practice to secure a ball bearing outer
race by clamping with a set screw .

Greg-
It is very unusual to secure a bearing race with a setscrew. I would
suggest using Loctite 620, Cylindrical assembly retaining compound. The

virtues can be found on Loctite's website.
