I would definitely have to do some kind of mod to the front mounts. Because if I move the rear mounts then it would be placing the motor and tranny more back in the frame and possibly causing problems with the u-joint alignment. Don't remember exactly how much room there is to spare when the u-joint is on the tranny and the swing-arm is mounted.
Ahh the joys of building a custom bike. :)

Actually, it's the tranny that bolts up fine and the front motor mount on the T3 timing cover is higher and more forward.
You either need to modify the front mounts on the Eldo frame or invent some sort of adapter plates or run the Eldo timing cover and a generator.

Ok motorheads, just ran into a snag on Elvira. I'm using the T3 motor, tranny etc in an Eldo frame and it seems that the T3 motor and tranny combined are about 1/4" longer than an Eldo motor and tranny (I guess due to the front cover). This being the case (no pun intended), the motor bolts up fine, but the tranny bolt holes are 1/4" past the frame mounts! I want to use the T3 alternator, that's why I never got the kit to mount on the crank for the pulley so I could use a generator etc... Anyone have any suggestions other than grinding off the frame mounts and re-welding them in the right place. This would create another headache in getting all the linkages in the right places.
