Have you tried changing the transmission rear cover with the Eldo rear cover? I thought that this was a bolt in type change.

Ok motorheads, just ran into a snag on Elvira. I'm using the T3 motor, tranny etc in an Eldo frame and it seems that the T3 motor and tranny combined are about 1/4" longer than an Eldo motor and tranny (I guess due to the front cover). This being the case (no pun intended), the motor bolts up fine, but the tranny bolt holes are 1/4" past the frame mounts! I want to use the T3 alternator, that's why I never got the kit to mount on the crank for the pulley so I could use a generator etc... Anyone have any suggestions other than grinding off the frame mounts and re-welding them in the right place. This would create another headache in getting all the linkages in the right places.
