if it's been blasted, get the correct size tap & run it through the threads
to clean them of blast media. i'd say some is still present even though it
looks clean.
then steam clean it. pay extra attention to the oilways. if ANY bead is
around when you start the engine you'll be sorry!

out of the case. The threads on the ends are different depths, does the short side go in the case or does the long side? also, how difficult |
it be to screw them in?
