Sounds like a winner ! Three running loops should almost take the place
of a "modern" Guzzi . :-))
Used the same motor jacking scenario to put a new clutch in my 130,000
mile old '72 LAPD this spring.The linings were fine. Seems the lack of a
modern cush drive wore out the clutch splines. Not uncommon with loops.

I replaced the bad u-joint boot on the 71 Ambo I picked up in Indiana a couple of months ago and it was nice to see a very oily u-joint in perfect shape. Next, I've had a funny noise in the tranny on my 71 red Ambo so I decided to swap the trans out with a different one. I left the front motor bolt in and jacked the motor from the rear to angle it forward, about to where the gen was touching the upper frame and the trans slipped right out. I take mine anywhere without worrying WITHOUT disc brakes ! But then
again I never worried on ANY bike ,even the BRIT bikes with LUCAS
electrics !And they NEVER let me down.At least since 1966 !
