Make sure you check the rocker shafts for blockages from the old
disintegrated tensioner block, as stated in Guzziology. I replaced one once
on a T bike and one of the rocker shafts was packed up tight. Air pressure
wouldn't un-plug it-had to resort to a piece of safety wire & a can of carb
cleaner. After about 15 minutes of poking & spraying I finally cleared the
oilway. It's an easy operation & something you can do while waiting for the
parts to show up. Don't want to starve out the rocker bushings-think your
valve clatter is loud now?
Good Luck!
