It's your brake light switch, no doubt! Been there. The rear brake light
switch has a ball above the plunger that drops onto the contacts when
you depress the brake and the plunger drops down. There is a brief
second where a direct short is possible through the contact to ball to
plunger to brake switch arm to ground.
Put a rubber cap on the plunger tip where it touches the brake switch
arm and it will be fine.
Auto Zone or similar will have 'em for plugging vacuum lines.

Sounds like a short, check in the brake light circuit for an open wire. I would start under the rr fender. As you ride the open part of the wire ends up rubbing on metal and blows the fuse. If it was just a loose ground wire the fuse wouldn't blow. Kev |
