It's your brake light switch, no doubt! Been there. The rear brake light
switch has a ball above the plunger that drops onto the contacts when
you depress the brake and the plunger drops down. There is a brief
second where a direct short is possible through the contact to ball to
plunger to brake switch arm to ground.
Put a rubber cap on the plunger tip where it touches the brake switch
arm and it will be fine.
Auto Zone or similar will have 'em for plugging vacuum lines.

| Sounds like a short, check in the brake light circuit for an open wire. I would start under the rr fender. As you ride the open part of the wire ends up rubbing on metal and blows the fuse. If it was just a loose ground wire the fuse wouldn't blow. Kev |
