I remember in an MGNOC newsletter (I think....maybe a
Cycle World or something) someone shipping an motor in a
galvanized steel trash can with lots of padding. Ended up
being aound $50 or so if memory serves right. I know it
was a hella lot less than $350. Sounds like the shiping
company misunderstood and thought he was shipping a bike.
The other option is to crate it and truck it, which
should still be reasonably priced. Some local to the area
are Yellow, Dominion, Parsons Trucking, Caldwell Freight,
Anderson Truck Lines. It should be UPSable if fluids are
drained well and you don't tell them what it is.
