Hi John;
I have a surflex clutch in the V7. It is good for one thing, that the
friction material cleans right up. The rubber tube that is on the throwout
bearing end of the pushrod keeps any oil from running down the pushrod tube
and into the clutch release cup in the pressure plate. (as I see it)

It helps when you run your mouse over the part... It's been a while
since I've been in there. For some reason I thought it was the other way
around.

 BTW are you anywhere close to Wilmington Delaware?
