No inline filters here.
Just did a test this eve, turned both petcocks off, disconnected 1 fuel
line at a time and fuel flowed from each w/o a problem. If I put a
finger over the other end of the X cross tube while 1 line was
connected, the other disconnected, no flow. With both petcocks upper
fuel lines connected and fuel in the lower lines below the X cross pipe,
no fuel would flow out of the petcocks. Had me miffed, fuel flowed fine
with only 1 petcock hooked up, but as soon as the other was hooked up,
immediate stoppage. So I called Mark at MG Classics. My guess is what
he said is correct - fuel will eventually flow when the lower lines get
low and air is then filtered into the line allowing the gravity feed of
fuel. A way to all is well is to disconnect the banjo or the fuel line
going to it and allow the fuel to flow into a can, when the fuel
empties, the petcock should then fill the lines with fuel, I'll do this
check tomorrow, but I think it will work. I could have sworn my BMW's
always flowed to the top of the line right at the petcock when turned
on, don't know why these would be different.
Thanx for the responses, learning something new about
Patience/loopframes everyday.

I thought this was just a gravity feed? If you have inline filters, take the hose from the petcock to the inline filter or off of the banjos, point if at a coffee can or some other high tech device, and turn the petcock on. Fuel should flow freely, if not, rust in tank or something blocking the inlet to the petcock. Otherwise it must be at the carbs. Banjos clean? etc. Can you blow through them?
