If your engine pings every time you get on the gas, something's likely
wrong with your jetting or timing and needs to be rectified.

If it only pings under high load, here's how to deal: Crack open your
enrichers till you;ve climbed the hill or passed the car. The lever's
right there on the bar and can be used like the mixture control on an
airplane to fly you through high-load situations.

 Vince,

I have heard that if your valve guides are worn a little oil can seep
down
and cause the pinging.

Correct me if I am wrong anyone....Ian

Over the last several weeks I've noticed that my Eldo is pinging
when I
roll on some throttle.I don't think my driving habits hsve chsnged
sny.
I put in new points and checked the timing and advance with a strobe.
All seems fine. I'm using the same high octane gas as usual. Could the
timing advance springs need changing? Could this be carbon build
up?..... Vince in NY
