I cut the ears off the centerstand on my red Ambo to get the BSA mufflers
to work. It isn't a problem at all for me to flip the stand down without
'em. I used an abrasive wheel in an air powered die grinder. They were
gone in about 2 minutes.

I have none of those problems wit my mac fish. In fact I had cut the one remaining ear off only to realise later that the frame I was using then did not have the centerstand bumper bracket. something is odd here.
