On my SECOND bracket, to prevent the cracking I did two things. First I
really watch that my generator belt is not too tight, and secondly, I welded
and drilled a extension piece onto my bracket, that attaches to the
distributor bolt. Gives a better mount.

It shows some evidence of running with the bolts loose and there is a nice crack from the forward hole to the edge. When I bolted it to the block and put in the generator, the generator doesn't quite touch the block where the locating pin is. Is theis where guys have been adding the rubber? I am bidding on another bracke on Ebay (Hi Mike!) 73 Eldo in crates 78 T3/949 |
