Moe is just trying to get back some of the cost of a full restoration. And
original Lucas reflectors of the kind used on Loops are a bitch to find.
Besides, our loops are undervalued and that is our fault. One for destroying
originality, two for not saving the parts we replaced(see one), and three
for not asking more in the first place.
Loops were considered the premier tourer back in the early to mid 70's, in
line with the BMW. The Harley, the Honda, the Trident and the Interstate
didn't come close in comfort and/or reliability. Water Buffaloes, while
much good could be said, just didn't make it. And the Z1 wasn't considered
for that purpose.
Then came the Gold Wing.

Anyone who's been watching this at all, all I can say is $12,600 and reserve not met! It's a beautiful bike but.................... Well I'd just say it's a non original civilian Eldo. And it's missing the reflectors on the fenders. Sheeez, that alone dings it what? $1-2K ;-) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1824055267 Rich My Ambo just went up in value $39.95 |
