Compare your toolkit to what SnapOn has offered (http://buy.snapon.com/catalog/search.ASP?PartNo=CYCLESET1) and you will see that your LoopFrame is simply a vintage cash cow! Pay particular notice to how well the items listed by SnapOn are the most useful for 99% of the bikes on the road.... |
I am fortunate in that Snap-on sells tools to my employer. The Snap-on
man comes once a week. They also give individuals (like me) a 25%
discount. Just today I took delivery of 2 box end wrenches, metric, 10
& 12 on one, 11 & 13 on the other. About $18 ea. When I was a kid
working in the junk yard, I was able to buy Snap-on tools on a weekly
payment plan. I think the only Snap-on tool I lost (since 1972) is a
1/2" 6-point socket. I don't know how I lost it but I did replace it
with a Snap-on. I still have a large percentage of tools from Craftsman
and a few Proto, Mac, Matco, etc. But the Snap-ons are my choice for
working at home.
However, the tool kit shown on the webpage is way beyond my means. For
my bikes on-board tool kit, I like finding tools at pawn shops and flea
markets. Not the best tools but I don't mind if they rust or get lost.
The only "expensive" tool in each kit is the long-nose vise-grip pliers.
