I've stayed with a 110-size rear tire, so maybe that's why I don't have
any problems getting the tire out, but I don't remember any big problems
on the Ambassador I had with a 120 rear.

I get the hub loose from the splines and then just tilt rock the rear
wheel/tire and it walks itself loose of the rear fender, even with the
bike on the centerstand. Yes, the rubber will squeak as it walks itself
loose of the fender, but so far it hasn't even marked the white paint on
my fenders, let alone chipped the paint. Truthfully, though, I wouldn't
be too concerned about it if I had.

I've done it twice on the side of the road when I had flats and no
available 2x4s or anything.

I've always wanted to bob a loop fender.

Old Harley's came with hinged rear fenders. Maybe somebody could whip
up
a batch o' hinged fenders for loopframes.
