Easily done. get a noisemaker (horn, siren, etc.) from a junk shop/junk
yard/home depot/auto parts shop. wire it up to make noise. then make an easy
trip switch. fine fishing line tied to a insulating item stuffed between a
spring loaded pinch device (clothespin with electrical contacts glued in the
jaws) intruder pulls the monofilament (opens door, walks through) siren goes
off and you unload gun filled with blanks at the building. intruder takes
off.
lots of fun ideas to be done here. dog barking recordings, million candle
power lights. strobes. make it into a house of horrors.
damn this is some good coffee.

I already secured the doors with 2 decent size locks and plan on putting a motion detector light out there. I thought about a motion alarm on the inside also. Finding one is becomming harder than expected. I would like something to make some noise while I'm sleeping. I really need a whole new garage, but we can't part with the $$ right now, so I'm looking for cheaper alternatives. Yeah...a big nasty dog :-) Best way is to have a good locking mechanism on the inside or out. Also...maybe putting one of those cheap motion alarms on the inside would help. Up here in mountain country GA I guess I'm pretty lucky. I don't worry about people taking my bike. Nobody knows what it is :-) I guess I am being naive.
