Subject: Fork Lock Cylinder Removal

Sorry to bring this up again, but for some reason I can't search the
list for this or any other topic. Found some blank keys through BMW,
they are on their way. Called my local locksmith whom found my ignition
key blanks, and asked him if he could make a key without needing to
remove the cylinder, in which he replied, "No". So, how exactly do I
get this cylinder out? I recall needing to drill out the pin on the
cover, then what? Should the cylinder slide out? What comes out with
it (i.e., what exactly locks the steering and is it seperate from the
cylinder - I'm figuring some sort of bar). How do I reinstall
correctly, and what do I use to re-install the cover plate?
