Moto Int. sells a Dutch WP progressively wound spring for $150/set.
That is what I put on my Eldo after I decided that the original springs
were just sacked out. I think that there is a small preload spacer
needed for these springs which you make out of ordinary PVC pipe.
I think that the grease on the springs was just to eliminate rust.
