Speaking of tailights and lenses. I am in the final stages of putting
together my big box of Guzzis project. It is most of a '71 Ambo with a
V700 motorand parts from several other donors. I'm not too concerned
about it being original, I just want it to be nice and I am trying to
control the budget on the project (workin' on a lot of other stuff don't
ya know). Anyway, I bought a Ford Model A reproduction tailight from JC
Whitney. It is stainless steel and very cool. Red glass lens and
everything. I doubt whether it is DOT approved and it doesn't have a
license plate illuminator. I may have bought the wrong side though. Maybe
the other side is set-up for plate illumination. It is almost a bolt on
to the original bracket. I just had to open the mounting holes up a
little. I think the price was about $17.00 I'll be setting up a web site
with pictures before long.
