I put a starter from a 86 Cali 2 in my 74 Eldo. The cali 2 starter has
solenoid on top vs. the Eldo starter with it on the bottom. All I had to
do was notch a small piece out of the battery tray and change the Trans
breather to the early style with the hole in the head of the plug. As far
as the Valeo starter goes, I just checked a guzzi catalog that says they
can be used on the V700, Ambo, & Eldo with minor mods.
