I have a Sept 1972 issue of "Big Bike "magazine They compared the "big
five" for 72. A Bmw r75/5 - Super Glide- Honda 750- Guzzi Eldo and guess
what else...a 750 GT Suzuki waterbuffalo...it scored the highest in passing
ability and transmission smoothness and the worst in overall appearance. The
Guzzi scored the highest in overall rider comfort, smoothness at freeway
speeds, freeway speed handling, and seat design. The eldo scored the worst in
shifting....the editors musta been used to jap trannys. The Suzuki makes
67-@6500rpm. The Eldo 64-@6500rpm. And as for the Super Glide.....it
scored the worst in 20 out of the 25 catagories and the hp. specs. are
n/a.....wonder why? Water Buffalo was $ 1,575 Eldo was $ 1,989 Super
Glide $ 2,250 not a measley sum in 1972 .the base price of a Corvette was $
