Ian,

I concur that the stats look correct. There were indeed numerous changes
in the '69-70 period. My bike, #13364 did have the non-stainless spokes,
left shift, single instrument nacelle, and SMALL (non-louvered) side
covers. If I recall from the Moto Guzzi big twins book they went from
left to right and back to left on the shifters all in the 1970 model
year. My bike's build date was July 1969, but the bike is titled as a
'70. The only thing that sounds amiss to me about the bike Joe is
looking at is the side covers. My guess is that somebody replaced them
with the later style.

Tom...do you have a build date on your bike?

1969-1970 was a transition period in the series. I suppose that the
reason
you have cad spokes and louvered battery covers could be because that
was
what was on the shelf :-) We were dealing with Italians here......good
hearts but no organization :-)

From what I see the numbers seem right.

Regards....Ian

MAybe you can give me some help.

This ambo was

- built July 69
- has left hand shift
- has cad spokes - I thought all had stainless
- serial number 13355 ( I think)
- single instrument
- louvered side covers
- 4 speed smooth transmission

I may buy it, it does run , but had been sitting for 20 years.
